Jim Price
Principal

 Jim Price’s experience in the healthcare industry spans over 30 years with work as both a consultant and a hospital executive. As a senior-level hospital executive, he has been responsible for the management and development of several facilities and has exceptional experience with Children’s Hospitals.  As an accomplished consultant, he has specialized in the development of sustainable strategic plans and the implementation of key initiatives. Jim also has turnaround and margin improvement experience, where he helped clients restructure operations after relatively abbreviated problem identification, analysis, and priority-setting efforts.

Jim’s recent consulting projects have involved strategic and operational planning for physician groups, hospitals, and hospital systems. These engagements have included service line assessments, joint-venture development, capital planning, facility planning, new business development, as well as physician recruitment and relations. Jim’s previous consulting experience includes McKinsey & Company, KPMG, and three boutique firms.

Prior to joining Progressive Healthcare, Jim was a senior-level executive for several hospitals.  He was Chief Development Officer at North Fulton Regional Hospital where he managed marketing, planning, physician relations, and business development functions. Previously, as Executive Director at Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center, he implemented a 400-physician primary health organization.  He also served as Vice President at Egleston Children’s Hospital, managing human resources, planning, quality management, medical records, process improvement, and facilities.

Jim received his Master’s in Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.  He also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.
